Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TIP (Trader Intelligence Profile) at traderintelprofile.com, operated by Jonathan Campeau ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using TIP, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

TIP is a research-informed self-assessment for traders. It starts with the Free Trader Profile (18 questions) and continues with the 89-item Full Assessment, which scores how you describe yourself across four dimensions: cognitive abilities (named after the Cattell-Horn-Carroll model; TIP does not test these abilities, it scores how you describe them), behavioral risk patterns, emotional regulation and personality traits. Your result places you in one of 19 trader archetypes. The Full TIP Report is the paid PDF report built from your Full Assessment answers.

2. Not Financial Advice

TIP is an educational and self-awareness tool. It is not financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument. Your TIP profile does not predict trading performance, guarantee profitability, or constitute a professional assessment of your fitness to trade.

You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

3. No Clinical or Professional Affiliation

TIP draws on published research, including the Cattell-Horn-Carroll (CHC) model of cognitive abilities, Kahneman and Tversky's prospect theory (1979), Damasio's somatic marker hypothesis (1994), Baumeister's self-regulation work (1998), Lo's adaptive markets hypothesis (2004), and Barber and Odean's research on trading behavior (2000); full citations are on the Methodology and Research Foundation pages. However, TIP is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supervised by any of these researchers or their institutions. The assessment is an independent application of published research frameworks, and validation of TIP's adaptations has not yet been established.

4. Free and Paid Tiers

The Free Trader Profile (18 questions) and the 89-item Full Assessment are free, and your free result includes your trader archetype and core profile. The Full TIP Report, a PDF report of 40+ pages, is a one-time purchase of $79 USD (or the price displayed at the time of purchase).

5. Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. Upon successful payment, you receive immediate access to your Full TIP Report, including PDF download and email delivery.

The Full TIP Report comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Email support@traderintelprofile.com within 14 days of purchase and we will refund your purchase in full. After 14 days, sales are final. Full details are in our Return and Refund Policy.

6. Accuracy and Limitations

TIP generates your profile from your answers. Most items are self-report; three are short reasoning problems scored right or wrong, and three check attention. The accuracy of your profile depends on the honesty and consistency of your responses. Most scores are self-report, and TIP's adaptations of the research have not yet been validated. Treat your results as hypotheses to check against your own trading records, not as a complete or definitive representation of you.

Assessment results may vary if retaken at different times or under different conditions. This is normal for a self-assessment.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on traderintelprofile.com — including the assessment questions, scoring algorithms, report text, design, and code — is the intellectual property of Jonathan Campeau and TIP. You may not reproduce, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the assessment or its outputs without written permission.

Your individual report is yours to use personally, including sharing your share card on social media. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit your report or any TIP content.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the assessment.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the scoring methodology or extract the question bank.
• Submit the assessment on behalf of another person without their knowledge.
• Use TIP data or reports for any unlawful purpose.

9. Account and Access

TIP does not require account creation. After a purchase you have three ways back to your report:

• The PDF. The file you download is yours to keep, including after a refund.
• The web version. The link in your delivery email opens a shorter web version of your report on any device, with no login, and lets you download the PDF again. The link does not expire. It stops working if the purchase is refunded in full.
• This browser. The browser you bought in also remembers the purchase, which is what lets you take the included retake there. That memory is specific to the browser: clearing its data, or using another device, removes it. It does not affect your PDF or your emailed link.

If you lose the delivery email or the PDF, email support@traderintelprofile.com from the address you used at checkout and we will send the link again.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TIP and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, without limitation, any trading losses, lost profits, or damages resulting from decisions made based on your TIP profile.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jonathan Campeau, TIP, and any affiliated partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the service will be resolved in the courts of Quebec.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of TIP after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
