Privacy Policy

TIP (Trader Intelligence Profile), operated by Jonathan Campeau ("we", "us", "our"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. What We Collect

When you use TIP at traderintelprofile.com, we may collect:

• Name and email address — provided voluntarily during the assessment or at the email save prompt.
• Assessment responses — your answers to the Free Trader Profile (18 questions) and the 89-item Full Assessment, a research-informed self-assessment for traders covering four dimensions (cognitive abilities as you describe them, behavioral risk, emotional regulation, personality).
• Computed scores and profile data — the scale scores, risk axis percentages, emotional regulation scores, archetype and related outputs generated from your answers.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or full payment credentials on our servers.
• Technical and usage data — browser type, device type, referring URL, pages visited, on-page interactions and cookie identifiers, collected automatically by the analytics and advertising tools listed in section 5.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Deliver your report — generate your free result, the Full TIP Report (PDF) if you buy it, and your share card.
• Email delivery — send your completed report to the email address you provide, if applicable.
• Product updates and content — we may occasionally use your email to share new TIP content, research observations from the aggregate data, or product updates. Every such email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time without affecting access to your report.
• Product improvement — analyze aggregate, anonymized assessment data to improve the assessment's accuracy and relevance. Individual responses are never shared publicly.
• Partner reporting — if you accessed TIP through a partner community, we may share anonymized, aggregate data with that partner. Your individual results are never shared with partners without your explicit consent.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

• Airtable — assessment responses and profile data are stored in a secured Airtable database.
• Stripe — payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's privacy policy governs all payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
• Netlify — the site is hosted on Netlify. Serverless functions process data in transit but do not store data persistently beyond Airtable.
• Local storage — your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage are used to preserve your assessment session across payment redirects. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Payment processing — Stripe receives the data necessary to process your payment.
• Service providers: Airtable (data storage), Netlify (hosting), Resend (sending your report and related emails), Kit (our email list, when you give us your email) and Stripe (payments). Each processes your data only to provide its service to us.
• Analytics and advertising partners: Google, Microsoft, Meta and Reddit receive data about your visit through the tools described in section 5, including, for Reddit, a hashed version of your email address as described there.
• Legal compliance — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Aggregate analytics — anonymized, non-identifiable data may be used in research summaries or partner reports.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage to keep your assessment session across page loads and payment redirects. We also use the analytics and advertising tools below. They set their own cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and send data about your visit to the companies that run them.

• Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google LLC): page views and funnel events, such as starting the assessment, finishing a section, reaching checkout and completing a purchase with its value. Sets cookies such as _ga.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): heatmaps and session recordings of how you move through the site, including clicks and scrolling. Clarity is configured to mask your assessment answers, your results and report content, and anything you type, so that text is not captured in recordings; question text and page layout may still appear. Sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk.
• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.): page views and conversion events, such as finishing the free teaser or completing a purchase with its value, used to measure and optimize our ads on Facebook and Instagram. Sets cookies such as _fbp.
• Reddit Pixel (Reddit, Inc.): page views and conversion events used to measure and optimize our ads on Reddit. When you have given us your email address, a one-way hashed (SHA-256) version of it and an internal record ID are sent with these events so Reddit can match conversions to ad clicks. Sets cookies such as _rdt_uuid.

These providers may use this data to recognize your browser across other websites, and the Meta and Reddit pixels are advertising tools used for ad measurement and targeting. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings or use your browser's tracking protection, and you can opt out with each provider: Google Analytics opt-out, Meta ad preferences and Reddit privacy settings. Blocking these tools does not affect the assessment or your report.

6. Data Retention

Your assessment data is retained in Airtable indefinitely to allow you to access your report in the future and to support aggregate analysis. If you request deletion, we will remove your identifiable data within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your stored data by contacting us.
• Correct any inaccurate information.
• Delete your data — email us and we will remove your identifiable records within 30 days.
• Withdraw consent — if you opted into email communication, you can unsubscribe at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

TIP is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit, secure API keys for database access, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment infrastructure. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of TIP after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
