Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TIP (Trader Intelligence Profile) at traderintelprofile.com, operated by Jonathan Campeau ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using TIP, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

TIP is a cognitive self-assessment tool for retail traders. It consists of an 89-item assessment that evaluates your responses across four dimensions: cognitive abilities (based on the Cattell-Horn-Carroll model), behavioral risk patterns, emotional regulation tendencies, and personality traits. The output is a personalized profile report mapping you to one of 19 trader archetypes.

2. Not Financial Advice

TIP is an educational and self-awareness tool. It is not financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument. Your TIP profile does not predict trading performance, guarantee profitability, or constitute a professional assessment of your fitness to trade.

You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

3. No Clinical or Professional Affiliation

TIP is built on peer-reviewed research including the Cattell-Horn-Carroll (CHC) model of cognitive abilities, Kahneman and Tversky's prospect theory (1979), Damasio's somatic marker hypothesis (1994), Baumeister's self-regulation work (1998), Csikszentmihalyi's flow theory (1990), Lo's adaptive markets hypothesis (2004), and Barber and Odean's research on trading behavior (2000). However, TIP is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supervised by any of these researchers or their institutions. The assessment is an independent application of published research frameworks.

4. Free and Paid Tiers

TIP offers a free tier that includes the full 89-item assessment and reveals your trader archetype. The complete cognitive report with PDF download, share card, and all premium sections is available as a one-time purchase of $77 USD at the current founding rate (or the price displayed at the time of purchase). The retail price after the founding window closes is $127 USD.

5. Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. Upon successful payment, you receive immediate access to your full report, including PDF download and email delivery.

We offer a 14-day full refund. If the report doesn't read like a precise scan of your wiring within 14 days of purchase, email us and we will refund your purchase in full. No forms, no questions. After 14 days, sales are final.

6. Accuracy and Limitations

TIP generates your profile based entirely on your self-reported answers. The accuracy of your profile depends on the honesty and consistency of your responses. We make no guarantee that your profile is a complete or definitive representation of your cognitive tendencies.

Assessment results may vary if retaken at different times or under different conditions. This is normal and reflects the dynamic nature of cognitive self-assessment.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on traderintelprofile.com — including the assessment questions, scoring algorithms, report text, design, and code — is the intellectual property of Jonathan Campeau and TIP. You may not reproduce, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the assessment or its outputs without written permission.

Your individual report is yours to use personally, including sharing your share card on social media. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit your report or any TIP content.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the assessment.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the scoring methodology or extract the question bank.
• Submit the assessment on behalf of another person without their knowledge.
• Use TIP data or reports for any unlawful purpose.

9. Account and Access

TIP does not require account creation. Paid access is tied to your browser session and localStorage. If you clear your browser data, you may lose access to your report. We recommend downloading your PDF and saving your emailed copy. If you lose access after payment, contact us with your email address and we will restore it.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TIP and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, without limitation, any trading losses, lost profits, or damages resulting from decisions made based on your TIP profile.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jonathan Campeau, TIP, and any affiliated partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the service will be resolved in the courts of Quebec.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of TIP after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
