Privacy Policy

TIP (Trader Intelligence Profile), operated by Jonathan Campeau ("we", "us", "our"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. What We Collect

When you use TIP at traderintelprofile.com, we may collect:

• Name and email address — provided voluntarily during the assessment or at the email save prompt.
• Assessment responses — your answers to the 89-item cognitive assessment across four dimensions (cognitive abilities, behavioral risk, emotional regulation, personality).
• Computed scores and profile data — intelligence scores, risk axis percentages, emotional regulation grades, archetype, and related outputs generated from your responses.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or full payment credentials on our servers.
• Technical data — browser type, device type, and referring URL collected automatically via standard web analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Deliver your report — generate your personalized TIP profile, PDF report, and share card.
• Email delivery — send your completed report to the email address you provide, if applicable.
• Product updates and content — we may occasionally use your email to share new TIP content, research observations from the aggregate data, or product updates. Every such email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time without affecting access to your report.
• Product improvement — analyze aggregate, anonymized assessment data to improve the assessment's accuracy and relevance. Individual responses are never shared publicly.
• Partner reporting — if you accessed TIP through a partner community, we may share anonymized, aggregate data with that partner. Your individual results are never shared with partners without your explicit consent.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

• Airtable — assessment responses and profile data are stored in a secured Airtable database.
• Stripe — payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's privacy policy governs all payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
• Netlify — the site is hosted on Netlify. Serverless functions process data in transit but do not store data persistently beyond Airtable.
• Local storage — your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage are used to preserve your assessment session across payment redirects. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Payment processing — Stripe receives the data necessary to process your payment.
• Legal compliance — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Aggregate analytics — anonymized, non-identifiable data may be used in research summaries or partner reports.

5. Cookies and Tracking

TIP does not use third-party advertising cookies. We use localStorage and sessionStorage for assessment session management only. No cross-site tracking is employed.

6. Data Retention

Your assessment data is retained in Airtable indefinitely to allow you to access your report in the future and to support aggregate analysis. If you request deletion, we will remove your identifiable data within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your stored data by contacting us.
• Correct any inaccurate information.
• Delete your data — email us and we will remove your identifiable records within 30 days.
• Withdraw consent — if you opted into email communication, you can unsubscribe at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

TIP is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit, secure API keys for database access, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment infrastructure. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. The TIP Live Browser Extension

The TIP Live browser extension runs on your machine, by design. It reads only the visible order notifications on your trading platform's page to detect trading-pattern events (for example, a new order shortly after a loss). It never collects, reads, or transmits broker credentials, account numbers, balances, or screen contents.

Stored locally on your device: your guardrail settings (archetype, rule thresholds), your session log (trade timestamps, pattern events, interventions, and overrides), and your access status. This data stays in your browser's extension storage and is yours to export or delete at any time by removing the extension.

What leaves your device: the extension makes one routine outbound request, fetching its public configuration file from traderintelprofile.com. Synchronizing pattern events to power your weekly wiring debrief is an opt-in feature; when enabled, it transmits only event metadata (timestamps, rule names, win or loss flags), never order contents, symbols, sizes, or account data.

The extension requests the minimum browser permissions needed: local storage for your settings, alarms for cool-down timers, access to the active tab when you open its popup, and access to the trading platform pages it provides interventions on.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of TIP after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
